We don’t normally leave a message in visitor books but on this occasion we had to make an exception. This has been a great 2 weeks in a lovely gîte hosted by Sharon, Dom, Will and Alex who have been extremely friendly and helpful throughout. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this gîte to anyone and hope to return in the coming years.

Thank-you for another lovely week. We have enjoyed our visit very much. We can recommend visits to Marseillan (particularly Noilly Prat), Sommières, St Guilhem le Désert (fascinating mediaeval village), le Pont du Diable, Quissac market (Wednesday mornings), and Valflaunes market on Sunday morning. We have spent a wonderful week here and wish it could have been for longer. Dom and Sharon made us very welcome and gave us valuable tips for trips in the area. We particularly enjoyed the contrast between the Camargue and the hills of the area immediately around Lauret. The Grotte des Demoiselles was particularly impressive. Thank-you for a wonderful holiday.

Well, we’re back again for the fifth time in six years. We’ve tried to find new things this year and succeeded. We found the Lac de Cécelès in Tréviers, also St Hippolyte du Fort for the amazing museum of silk with the live silk worms right through to the finished material, the Carré d’Art in Nîmes with amazing modern art, and the Parc de Coulondres in St Gély du Fesc with deer and sheep. The girls also went kayaking again, 15km this time instead of the 10km last year!

Another glorious two weeks in this wonderful gite set in beautiful scenery. Thank-you Sharon and Dom for another delightful stay. We have had an amazing time and found several lovely new places to visit. We hope to return!
